Coastal geomorphology; Holocene sea level history; Transgressive stratigraphy; Barrier island evolution, stratigraphy, and geomorphology; Coastal zone seafloor mapping for applications to long and short- term morphological evolution, sediment transport trends, and relative sea level rise; Transgressive tidal inlet processes, morphology, and stratigraphy; Deltaic  processes, geomorphology, and stratigraphy; Barrier island erosion mitigation and restoration; Hurricane impacts to tidal inlets and barrier island systems; Tidal prism increases associated with backbarrier wetland loss; Coastal zone morphological and stratigraphic response to relative sea level rise.
